What the technical review covers

Technical accuracy only. No editorial veto over pricing figures, consumer-protection framing, or any content describing how homeowners should evaluate contractors.

The review checks that technical statements are correct: how equipment works, what a symptom points to, what a repair involves. Prices, consumer-protection guidance and advice on how to evaluate any contractor, including this one, are the editor's and are not subject to the reviewer's approval.

The relationship

Phoenix Cooling Guide is independently published by Michael Fitzgerald and is not paid for by any contractor. Its technical reviewer, Tom Mattingly, owns AZ Trusted Air LLC, the guide's recommended contractor. It is disclosed on every page. Read the full disclosure.
